By GB heavyweight Pat Brown has announced his decision to turn professional following a disappointing exit from the Olympic Games in Paris. Despite his early defeat to Brazil’s Keno Machado, Brown remains optimistic about his future in boxing and is eager to make his mark in the professional ranks.
Brown, who was a newcomer to the international scene but quickly made a name for himself with his powerful, aggressive style, fell short in a close fight against the experienced Machado. Reflecting on the bout, Brown admitted to feeling down but has since found pride in his Olympic journey, noting, “I’ve been chosen out of the whole of Great Britain… It’s definitely a big achievement.”
