Moriya Jutanugarn Wins Portland Classic, Ending Six-Year Title Drought

Thailand’s Moriya Jutanugarn claimed her first LPGA Tour individual win since 2018 by securing a two-stroke victory at the Portland Classic. Starting the final round three strokes behind leader Andrea Lee, Jutanugarn shot a six-under 66 to finish at 22-under 266. Her performance included birdies on holes 13 to 15 and a crucial par save on the 16th.

Jutanugarn’s last individual win was at the 2018 HUGEL-JTBC LA Open. She expressed joy at being in contention again and handling the pressure well. Her sister, Ariya Jutanugarn, praised her perseverance.

Andrea Lee, who led going into the final round, finished tied for second with Narin An, Nataliya Guseva, and Angel Yin at 17 under. Dewi Weber, the second-round leader, fell back with a double bogey and a bogey in the final holes.

The tournament saw no top 30 world-ranked players due to the upcoming Olympics, with Aditi Ashok of India being the only Olympian in the field, finishing tied for 22nd.
