Manchester United is close to signing Lille defender Leny Yoro for over £50 million. The 18-year-old, who was undergoing a medical in England, has agreed to personal terms with United. Despite interest from Real Madrid, United is optimistic about finalizing the deal. Yoro, considered one of Europe’s top young defensive talents, made 41 appearances for Lille last season.
In other transfer news, Marseille is nearing a deal to sign Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood for £26.5 million. Greenwood, who spent last season on loan at Getafe, has agreed to personal terms and is set to undergo a medical. United will retain a significant sell-on clause in the deal.
Fulham is contemplating a second bid for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay after an initial £17 million offer was rejected. McTominay, who is also attracting interest from Galatasaray and Saudi Arabian clubs, could be sold if a serious offer is made. United is also in discussions with Paris Saint-Germain over midfielder Manuel Ugarte.
