Keegan Bradley Named Assistant Captain for 2024 Presidents Cup

Keegan Bradley has been appointed as one of Jim Furyk’s assistant captains for the upcoming Presidents Cup, which will take place from September 26-29 in Canada. This role will be Bradley’s first experience as part of a backroom team for the United States. Earlier this month, Bradley was also named the captain for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, succeeding Zach Johnson.

Bradley, 38, has previously competed in two Ryder Cups and was part of the victorious 2013 Presidents Cup team. He expressed excitement about his new role, stating that it offers him a chance to compete regularly alongside the USA team and gain valuable experience ahead of his Ryder Cup captaincy.

Jim Furyk praised Bradley’s competitive spirit and believes his presence will be beneficial for Team USA as they aim to continue their winning streak against the International Team at The Royal Montreal Golf Club. The International Team has only won the Presidents Cup once, with the United States claiming 12 victories and one tie in 2003.

Bradley joins a group of assistant captains that includes Stewart Cink, Justin Leonard, and Kevin Kisner. On the International Team side, captain Mike Weir will be supported by Ernie Els, Trevor Immelman, Geoff Ogilvy, and Camilo Villegas.

Bradley is looking forward to contributing to the team’s success in Montreal and gaining insights into team dynamics and coaching, which will help him in his future role as Ryder Cup captain.
