Swiatek, meanwhile, continued her dominant streak, dispatching Marketa Vondrousova in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2. Swiatek’s performance was clinical, winning her third consecutive set without conceding a game, following a flawless victory over Anastasia Potapova in the previous round.
Vondrousova, the 2019 French Open finalist, managed to win a game in the second set but couldn’t halt Swiatek’s momentum. Swiatek’s confidence was evident as she executed her game plan to perfection, feeling “in the zone.”
The upcoming semi-final between Gauff and Swiatek is a rematch of the 2022 final, which Swiatek won. Swiatek aims to extend her impressive record against Gauff, who is seeking to avenge her previous defeats. The stage is set for an exciting clash at Roland Garros, with both players showcasing their best tennis.
