Dubois vs. Joshua: A Battle of Knockout Power, Predicts Fisher

Johnny Fisher, a sparring partner of Daniel Dubois, has forecasted an intense and brief encounter between Dubois and Anthony Joshua, suggesting that their upcoming fight for the IBF heavyweight world title at Wembley Stadium won’t last all rounds. The bout, scheduled for September 21 and to be broadcast on Sky Sports Box Office, is expected to be a “firefight,” with Fisher predicting a knockout finish.

Fisher, who holds the Southern Area title and has extensive sparring experience with Dubois, described Dubois as the most formidable puncher he’s faced, emphasizing his aggressive yet strategic approach in the ring. He advised Joshua to be wary but not overly defensive, as Dubois is susceptible to counterattacks, particularly Joshua’s potent right hand.

While Fisher leans towards Joshua as the potential victor due to his tactical prowess, he acknowledged that a solid hit from Dubois could upset the odds, reminiscent of Joshua’s defeat by Andy Ruiz.

Fisher also anticipates a challenging match against Alen Babic this Saturday at the Copper Box Arena in London. He expressed confidence in his trajectory, aiming for a British title and possibly a world title in the future.

The heavyweight division remains thrilling, with a rematch in the works between Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke following their draw for the British heavyweight title in March. Fisher holds both fighters in high regard, noting Clarke’s resilience and Wardley’s explosive potential, making the outcome of their next encounter unpredictable. Dubois, meanwhile, remains confident in his ability to triumph over Joshua in their highly anticipated showdown.
