Conor McGregor Announces Full Recovery, Ready to Fight Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor has announced that his foot is fully healed, signaling his readiness to return to the octagon. This news comes after a busy week for McGregor, which included hosting a BKFC press conference, launching a new record label, criticizing Jake Paul, and reportedly firing Mike Perry from his bare-knuckle promotion role.

McGregor’s announcement followed a video he posted of himself hitting a punching machine without gloves. Michael Chandler responded to the video, prompting McGregor to confirm his recovery from a broken pinky toe that had delayed their fight scheduled for UFC 303 in June.

McGregor’s last UFC appearance was over three years ago when he suffered a severe leg injury in his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier. After undergoing surgery and a lengthy recovery, McGregor was set to fight Chandler, with both having coached against each other on “The Ultimate Fighter.” However, a foot injury during sparring postponed the bout.

Despite the delay, McGregor hinted at discussions with the UFC for a new fight date, although UFC CEO Dana White had not confirmed any plans, emphasizing the need for McGregor to be fully healthy. McGregor’s recent update might be the confirmation White needed to proceed with scheduling the highly anticipated fight, potentially in 2024.
