Lisa, a member of the global K-pop supergroup Blackpink, has been announced as Louis Vuitton’s newest house ambassador. The 27-year-old rapper, singer, and dancer was a guest at Louis Vuitton’s recent women’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Paris. She joins other notable ambassadors such as Saoirse Ronan, Stray Kids’ Felix, and BTS’ J-Hope.
Louis Vuitton praised Lisa’s bold sartorial choices, which align with the brand’s vision of individuality and empowerment. Nicolas Ghesquière, Louis Vuitton’s artistic director of women’s collections, expressed excitement about welcoming Lisa, highlighting her daring spirit and charisma.
This announcement comes during a busy period for Lisa. She is set to co-headline the 2024 Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park in September, marking her first solo festival performance. As a member of Blackpink, Lisa and her groupmates (Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé) headlined the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, becoming the first K-pop act to do so.
Lisa released her latest solo single, “Rockstar,” at the end of June, the first from her solo partnership with RCA Records. In December 2023, Blackpink renewed their exclusive contracts for group activities with YG Entertainment, but all four members decided to part ways with the label for solo activities.
In February, Lisa announced the formation of her new company, LLOUD, which she described as a platform to showcase her vision in music and entertainment. In April, RCA Records announced a partnership with LLOUD, allowing Lisa to release new solo music while maintaining full ownership of her recordings.
