Arslanbek Makhmudov Prepares for Rematch Against Guido Vianello After Nine Years

Heavyweight boxer Arslanbek Makhmudov is set to face Guido Vianello once again, nine years after their previous encounter in the World Series of Boxing. The two will clash in a professional bout on Sunday in Quebec City, with the fight broadcast live on Sky Sports Action.

Their first meeting in Milan in 2015 saw Makhmudov emerge victorious after Vianello suffered an ear injury. Makhmudov, known as ‘The Lion’, is eager to replicate his past success in this 10-round bout. This fight follows Makhmudov’s recent win over Miljan Rovcanin in May, which was his 18th stoppage in 19 professional victories since turning pro in 2017.

Despite his previous defeat to Agit Kabayel in December, where he suffered a broken right hand, Makhmudov has recovered and is focused on delivering a powerful performance. Vianello, who lost a split decision to Efe Ajagba in April, enters the ring with a 12-2-1 record.

Makhmudov aims to make a strong statement and is determined to outshine his opponent. Although he refrained from guaranteeing a knockout, he expressed his intent to dominate and secure a win.
