Hatton Triumphs in Nashville LIV Golf Event

Tyrrell Hatton emerged victorious at the LIV Golf Nashville, marking his first win since the Abu Dhabi championship in early 2021. Hatton’s final round of six-under-par 65 secured him a comfortable six-stroke lead over competitors Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau at The Grove.

Entering the final round with a three-stroke advantage, Hatton managed eight birdies against two bogeys, concluding the tournament at 19-under without checking the leaderboard until the penultimate green. This victory is a significant milestone for Hatton, ending a winless streak of over three years.

Since joining LIV Golf, Hatton’s performance peaked at this event, with his previous best being a fourth-place tie. His last PGA tour win dates back to the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2020.

Rahm, returning from a foot infection that sidelined him from the US Open, shot a 68, contributing to Legion XIII’s third team title under his captaincy.

Despite a strong start, Rahm’s challenge faded after a mishap on the sixth hole, while DeChambeau’s hopes dwindled after a near-miss birdie putt on the 15th. Meanwhile, English golfer Sam Horsfield surged late in the game, finishing at 13-under-par.

The event concluded with Hatton holding off his rivals on a sweltering day in Tennessee, signaling his return to the top echelons of golf with a definitive win.
