Scheffler’s Winning Momentum Fuels US Open Anticipation

Scottie Scheffler is riding high on confidence, unfazed by the pressure of being the favorite for the upcoming US Open, thanks to his recent triumph at the Memorial Tournament. This victory marks Scheffler’s fifth win in his last eight PGA Tour starts, solidifying his position as the world’s top golfer.

Scheffler’s impressive track record includes victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Players, The Masters, and the RBC Heritage this year. His consistent performance has only seen him finish outside the top 10 once, raising expectations for his performance at the US Open.

With a history of strong finishes at the US Open, including a third-place tie last year, the 27-year-old is optimistic about his game as he heads to Pinehurst seeking his second major win of the season.

Collin Morikawa, who finished just behind Scheffler at the Memorial Tournament, has been performing well with top-four finishes in four of his last six starts. Morikawa is also a strong contender for the US Open, where a victory would bring him closer to achieving a career Grand Slam.

Former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley believes both Scheffler and Morikawa will be strong contenders at the US Open, given their current form and confidence levels. Despite the different challenges the US Open presents, both golfers are expected to make a significant impact.
