Fighters for the 2024 PFL 2 event, featuring matchups in the light heavyweight and lightweight divisions, stepped onto the scales for the official weigh-in, ensuring all bouts were set to proceed as scheduled.
Following the thrilling kick-off of the 2024 season on April 4, which showcased heavyweight and women’s flyweight bouts, the PFL returns this Friday with another action-packed event, featuring competitors in the 205 and 155-pound weight classes.
Ahead of the second event of the season, all fighters successfully met their respective weight requirements, confirming the official status of the matchups.
Headlining Friday’s card is the clash between 2023 PFL Light Heavyweight Champion Impa Kasanganay and Alex Polizzi. Kasanganay, who secured last year’s tournament victory with a unanimous decision win over Josh Silveira, aims to reclaim the title of champion once again after a narrow loss to Johnny Eblen earlier this year.
In another highly anticipated bout, PFL lightweight Clay Collard squares off against Patricky “Pitbull” Freire, marking Freire’s debut with the organization. Collard, seeking redemption following two consecutive losses, sees this matchup as an opportunity to regain momentum, while Freire looks to make a statement in his first appearance under the PFL banner.
The event, titled 2024 PFL 2: Impa Kasanganay vs. Alex Polizzi, is set to take place at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ for both the main and preliminary cards, with the main card also airing on ESPN 2.
